WLKY News out of Kentucky reports that a woman is facing an animal cruelty charge after several extremely malnourished horses were found.

According to the arrest report, a deputy had been made aware of starving horses and heard that one may have been dying at 56-year-old Shiloh Lee’s address.

Lee identified herself as the horses’ owners. The deputy walked the field where the horses were and noticed them to be severely malnourished.

Lee told the deputy that there was a horse in the back that had been put down, but when the deputy checked on the horse it had not been killed and was attempting to stand up with no success.

Lee was taken to Grayson County Detention Center on one charge of cruelty to animals.
