Severe floods in Australia caused Halloween to come early

A region in Australia looks like it is celebrating Halloween early with towns draped in spider webs after severe flooding.

People fled to safety during the severe floods and apparently so did spiders. The process of a carpet of silk is called ballooning and an ecologist from the University of Sydney says that the spiders moving to higher ground is surprisingly common after floods.

Victoria State’s Emergency Management Commissioner said on Twitter after traveling the area work continues on relief and recovery for everyone.
