Ships are preparing to set sail... and cut emissions

A marine tech company says it has a solution to reduce carbon emissions from ocean carriers.

Yara Marine Technologies is teaming up with carrier Berge Bulk to install a series of sails more than 150 feet tall on a cargo ship. They estimate it will reduce emissions by 30 percent.

Last year alone, Yara shipped nearly 30 million metric tons of fertilizer around the globe and says it is excited to use wind assistance.
