Significant crop loss is not expected from Nebraska’s flooding

Some producers wrestle with dry soils, others are dealing with the aftermath of flooding.

While the heavy rain has had negative outcomes so far, Brian Fuchs with the National Drought Mitigation Center told Brownfield Ag News that he does not expect significant crop loss as a result.
Flood warnings have been issued along the Missouri River from Omaha to Kansas City.

According to the National Weather Service, several other rivers and streams in Nebraska are expected to continue to run high.
