Solar Is Going Out West: White House announces plans to put more solar on public lands

Is your state one of them?

The White House is taking the next steps to expand solar power on federal lands out West.

Interior Secretary, Deb Holland made the announcement this week with three projects slated for Arizona. She says the projects would lower energy costs for families while conserving U.S. lands and waterways.

The projects will take place in California, Arizona, Colorado, New Mexico, Nevada, and Utah. The Bureau of Land Management will guide the permitting process by updating a decade-old environmental impact study.
