South Carolina bill would get slow drivers out of left lane

WECT News reports some lawmakers in South Carolina are backing a proposal that would allow police officers to pull over people who drive too slow in the left lane of major roads.

The Senate Transportation Committee passed the bill on Wednesday that would fine a driver $100 for not moving over to the right lane, but would not add any points to a driver’s license.

Currently, every Southeastern state except North and South Carolina has similar laws according to Senate President Harvey Peeler.
