Speaker Pelosi recalls House to vote on bill aimed to save postal service

The House of Representatives has been recalled to Washington to vote on an effort that would, according to House Speaker Nancy Pelosi, save the Postal Service.

The Delivering for America Act would prevent the Postal Service from implementing any changes that would impede prompt, reliable, and efficient services to operations, which were not already in place on January 1st of this year.

Democrats ask that Postmaster General, Louis DeJoy, to appear at an emergency hearing next week. They are seeking answers on why he restricted overtime house, prevented some deliveries, and gave conflicting information on mail-in ballot timelines.
