Five-time Grammy winner Steven Curtis Chapman has released a new song honoring his dad prior to Father’s Day.
Steven’s father Herb Chapman Sr. is musician himself and he ran his own music store in Paducah, Kentucky, where Steven grew up. Steven has performed alongside his father an brother, Herb Jr., at the Grand Ole Opry and Ryman Auditorium.
The song is called That’s My Dad.
“It seems only right that I would finally write a song for the man who gave me a love for music, taught me how to appreciate a “great song” and was in fact the first songwriter I ever knew,” Steven said in a press release. “I’m very thankful for my dad and thankful I could share this song that he inspired on this Father’s Day weekend.”
