Tractor Supply Company announced this week it would donate $100,000 animal shelters, rescues and humane societies following Hurricane Laura.

The storm made landfall on Aug. 27 and caused damage to homes and businesses. It also left thousands of pets and animals stranded. Tractor Supply says its donation will “assist with the cost of restoration as well as the purchase of pet food, animal feed and products such as beds, crates and cleaning supplies.”

“Pets and animals are incredibly important to us at Tractor Supply, and they are often overlooked in the aftermath of a storm like Hurricane Laura,” said Christi Korzekwa, Tractor Supply’s Senior Vice President of Marketing. “With this donation, we hope to assist these organizations as they recover from the devastation of the storm and focus on their important work of caring for animals.”
