The future of business is bound to look different after the pandemic and that could have a negative impact on gas and biofuels.
In a recent survey of business executives, 60 percent said that they will let their staff continue to work remotely post-pandemic. Executives feel their employees have risen to the occasion regarding productivity while working at home.
Fifty percent will not downsize or add space, 23 percent expect to use a new salary structure, and 70 percent say that productivity increased or remained the same.
The biofuels industry says that it was just starting to recover from the early spring lockdowns, when major cities started shutting things down again.
According to the International Energy Agency, there has been a 12 percent drop in biofuel output this year, that is the first decline in the sector in more than 20 years.
