Alena Wicker graduated high school this year and is set to begin her college career this summer with dreams of working for NASA once she receives her diploma. Oh, did we mention she is 12!

Wicker lives in Arizona and has always dreamed about going to Arizona State University. She has also dreamed about working as an engineer for NASA; it looks like she is chasing down those dreams and making them a reality.

“I just had a goal that I wanted to get to. I always dreamed of being an engineer because, throughout my life, I liked building things,” she explained, according to WIFR.

She plans on double majoring while at ASU: chemistry, and astronomical and planetary science. An engineer that builds rovers, like the ones sent to Mars, is the dream job.

Wicker went on to state, “It doesn’t matter what your age is or what you’re planning to do. Go for it, dream, then accomplish it.”

She could possibly head off to NASA once she graduates-- she would be 16-years-old.
