Britain will not lift sanctions in return for unblocking Ukrainian ports

Britain is rejecting calls to end Russian sanctions, in return for opening blocked Ukrainian ports.

Russia has said it will provide a corridor for vessels carrying food in some sanctions are lifted. Britain said it would not lift sanctions, but welcomed the idea of Turkey escorting Ukrainian grain cargoes. Russia will not let Western forces escort the ships.

Ukraine says Russia is trying to blackmail the world.
