“Starvation is Near": Concerns amplify over Ukraine’s wheat supply

Checking on the international wheat crop, this graph from India Globalization Capital shows four times more Ukrainian grain is backlogged at ports compared to years past. Those stockpiles are blocked by Russia.

A port director in Lithuania says “starvation is near,” but he also says surrounding nations have the capacity to help. The problem is that Belarus, a Russian ally, controls the railways.
