There’s still time to apply for USDA emergency relief funds!

Producers that fell victim to a qualifying crop loss in 2020 and 2021 now have more time to apply for emergency relief funding through the USDA.

The application period will be extended this year as pre-filled applications are being sent out right now. Representatives with the Farm Service Agency call it a much easier process.

“All they have to do is read it, verify it, check a couple boxes agreeing to secure some type of risk management coverage for the next two years and send that back in,” said Farm Service Agency Administrator Zach Ducheneaux.

There is no word on when the window will close, but officials say a 30-day warning will be given.
