Farmers’ Concerns: Sen. Grassley shares the worries he has been hearing on his Iowa tour

Senator Chuck Grassley is continuing his 42nd tour of all 99 counties in his home state of Iowa.

He shares what has been on the mind of farmers as of late.

“So, what I’m hearing from farmers is on the Farm Bill, they want to make sure that we maintain the crop insurance program when we write a new Farm Bill next year. And on trade they are interested in whether China is going to continue buying under Phase One because they didn’t fulfill their obligations,” said Grassley.

Grassley thinks China will continue to import food from the U.S. because the country does not have enough arable land to feed its people.
