Tennessee Cattlemen’s Association on conditions in the state following winter storm

As winter weather continues across the country, we now turn our attention to central Tennessee where up to five inches of snow fell overnight in parts of the states.

Jay Yeargin, the President of the Tennessee Cattlemen’s Association, speaks with RFD-TV’s own Tammi Arender on current conditions in the states, how weather has impacted certain regions, and how he is working to protect his herd.

“There is a lot of winter wheat that is covered with snow that should come through fine. All the cattle producers are like us, they’re concentrating on keeping everything fed and water is getting to be a problem where we’re breaking ice on some ponds, we have some water pipes froze, but that’s mainly what you are seeing in my area,” he explains.
