Tennessee has a new record paddlefish!
The Tennessee Wildlife Resources Agency has confirmed that Henry Dyer has set a new state record for paddlefish. Dyer was fishing out of Cherokee Lake when he reeled in a 149-pound catch that measured over 79 inches in length and over 44 inches in girth.

The previous record dates back to last year at just 120 pounds.
The world record paddlefish weighs in at 164 pounds and was caught in Oklahoma’s Keystone lake back in 2021.
