Texas man Andre McKenzie was sentenced to six years in prison earlier this month for charges of theft of cattle in three different counties.

Theft of livestock carries a third-degree felony in Texas but McKenzie’s charges were upped because he stole from the elderly.

According to a Special Ranger, McKenzie stole and sold 11 cows from a rancher he worked for in Fayette County and was in the process of selling 12 more roping steers that he had stolen from a separate property when he was arrested in December of last year.
