The American Farm Bureau Federation has some concerns ahead of the second Make America Healthy Again Report

“The commission published an inconsistent and sometimes inaccurate assessment.”

The Make America Healthy Again Commission’s second report is due next Tuesday, focused on children’s health.

The American Farm Bureau Federation says that it shares the commission’s goal of growing safe food for all families and healthier outcomes, but it has some concerns.

According to AFBF President Zippy Duvall, “We were troubled, however, that the commission did not seek growers’ input when drafting the initial assessment by not reaching out to the men and women who help keep America’s pantries stocked and not relying on sound science, the commission published an inconsistent and sometimes inaccurate assessment. We appreciate that commission members have engaged with agriculture since then. We urge the commission to ensure policy recommendations enhance rather than hinder the ability of America’s farmers to grow safe and affordable food.”

In addition to the MAHA Commission’s effort to end chronic disease, President Trump recently reestablished the Presidential Fitness Test in schools across the nation.
