The National Corn Growers Association is raising concerns about the future of farming without the use of pesticides.
The Make America Healthy Again Commission is set to release its second report in early August. Some farmers are worried after the first report cited studies linking pesticide exposure to health problems.
NCGA estimates that without pesticide use, crop yields could decline by at least 70%.
It is worth noting that, according to a report by Politico, the Trump Administration does not have plans to cut down pesticide use. Politico cited an anonymous White House official saying that the report due in August will not include any new policies on pesticides.
President of the National Corn Growers Association Kenny Hartman spoke with RFD-TV’s Tammi Arender about their main discrepancies, if the commission is listening to farmers, and tariff developments.
