Premieres on Monday, August 7, 2017, at 8 p.m. ET
(NASHVILLE, TENN. — August 4, 2017) The newly launched cable network, The Cowboy Channel, announced today that “NFR Round 10 Archives” will debut starting Monday, August 7, 2017, at 8 p.m. ET. Unseen for nearly 32 years, this classic TV collection showcases some of the greatest moments in rodeo history starting in 1985, the first year the National Finals Rodeo (NFR) was held in Las Vegas. Whether it’s Charmayne James’ broken halter win, Ty Murray becoming the youngest All-Around Champ at age 20, Bodacious, Joe Beavers’ comeback of the ages in 2000, or Trevor Brazile setting the earnings record in 2006, viewers can relive rodeo history on The Cowboy Channel. From world champs to ProRodeo Hall of Famers, viewers can experience the unforgettable rides and rodeo action – year by year with “NFR Round 10 Archives.”
Known popularly as the “Super Bowl of Rodeo,” the NFR is a championship event held annually by the Professional Rodeo Cowboys Association (PRCA) in Las Vegas. The NFR is one of the biggest events in Western sports where 15 money-winners in each event face off over 10 days, all vying for the world title.
The Cowboy Channel launched earlier this summer on July 1st shifting from the classic TV lineup of nostalgic and popular comedy sitcoms to focus on Western sports and everything that encompasses the popular western lifestyle. Most recently the team covered rodeos for “Western Sports Round-Up” with Steve Kenyon and Amy Wilson broadcasting LIVE from the Days of ’47 Rodeo in Salt Lake City, the National High School Finals Rodeo in Gillette, Wyoming and the historic Cheyenne Frontier Days in Cheyenne, Wyoming. Whether it’s the most prestigious events of today or the classic moments of yesteryear, The Cowboy Channel is your place for western sports.
