The farm crisis hotline is running out of funding

With growing economic uncertainty leaving some producers wondering where to turn next, funding for an organization aimed at helping process those stresses is in danger of running out of money.

The Rural Response Hotline is a service that offers help and counseling vouchers to producers who might be facing mental health challenges. On average, the Center gives out 2,000-3,000 vouchers for counseling sessions. This year, they are set to break 10,000.

The Center had multiple sources of income through the pandemic, but leaders say that funding has dried up.
