The final interest rate hike could be coming this week. What can you expect?

The end could be in sight for rising interest rates.

Analysts at Rabobank tell Brownfield Ag News they expect the Federal Reserve to announce their final interest rate hike on Wednesday. It is expected to go up 25 basis points, although some analysts say we are looking at another hike after this week’s. Rates are expected to hold there for the rest of the year.

Rabobank also notes shipping rates returning to normal, which is good for agriculture. The financial company says as a result of a tense couple of years economically, the ag sector could see a bigger swing toward biological products as well as a better understanding of how to adapt to volatility.
