The front line of biosecurity defense-- ag quarantine inspectors

Agricultural quarantine inspectors are considered the front line of biosecurity defense. They keep out disease and pests that threaten our nation’s farm and food sectors.

According to National Pork Producers Council’s Andrew Bailey, “They’re basically at every port of entry in the entire U.S. They operate under CDC and USDA authority to inspect for agricultural products, elicit meats, elicit animals.”
