The national average for diesel is $4 per gallon, slightly down from last week

Diesel is currently a hot topic on the farm, and those prices are holding steady.

GasBuddy shows the national average for a gallon of diesel is holding at $4 per gallon, which is down just over $0.02 from last week, and $0.28 off a year ago.

Some of the most expensive stations in the U.S. are holding at a little more than $5 per gallon, while the cheapest is $3.46.
