Katelyn Duban is a first-generation grain farmer in southern Alberta, Canada, and the host of The Rural Woman Podcast. After marrying into her husband’s multi-generational farm in 2016, Katelyn traded city life for rural life—learning how to drive tractors, run equipment, and fall in love with the land. But along the way, she also realized something was missing: a place to hear the stories of women in agriculture, told by women in agriculture.
In this upcoming episode of Dirt Diaries: The FarmHER + RanchHER Podcast, Katelyn and host Kirbe Schnoor talk about her journey from desk job to farm life, the challenges and triumphs of starting something from scratch, and why storytelling is such a powerful tool of connection. Katelyn’s authenticity, warmth, and commitment to lifting others up make her someone you can’t help but root for!
Katelyn joined us on Wednesday’s Market Day Report to discuss the upcoming podcast episode and share more about her story.
