The latest progress report shows that there is reason for concern for the wheat crop in some states.
While Oklahoma’s crop is 53 percent good to excellent, only about one-third of the Kansas crop can say the same. Twenty-seven percent of the “Sunflower State’s” wheat crop is rated poor to very poor.
The situation worsens in Texas as 39 percent of the crop is in poor or very poor condition. Also, nearly two-thirds of the pasture and rangeland are also in that bottom category.
