Canada informs China it will no longer pursue a free trade agreement.
Host of RealAg Radio Shaun Haney speaks with RFD-TV on the details of this decision and what Canadian producers are saying about this.
According to Haney, “It doesn’t mean that Canada will shut off exports to China...A big part of the reason is some of the trade friction. Canada has issues, as well, with some of the human rights violations that China has been engaged in, in regards to the Uyghurs; as well though, two Canadians illegally detained and imprisoned in the country, doesn’t exactly help with free trade talks either.”
