Though the Farm Bill got an extension, there are still questions about the funding

Lawmakers have an extra year to figure out the Farm Bill but despite together to pass the continuing resolution, there are still other big disagreements.

Behind the scenes, lawmakers are still trying to figure out long-term solutions for money for the legislation. An ag lobbyist tells Brownfield Ag News that GT Thompson is working to get lawmakers on the same page. He points out there is no money available in the Nutrition Title and what was set aside for agriculture in the Inflation Reduction Act; otherwise, there is no new funding, and right now, no consensus on what to do.
