Todd Bergen, of Eagle Point, Oregon travels to the National Cow Horse Association futurities with lifetime earnings of over one million dollars. Bergen has also earned one million dollars in National Reining Horse Association, National Cutting Horse Association, and American Quarter Horse Association events.
Wednesday was the post-draw ahead of the 142nd running of the Preakness Stakes that will take place tomorrow in Baltimore. Always Dreaming, classic empire and the rest of the 10-horse field learned their gates for the race at Pamlico Race Course.
Kentucky Derby winner Always Dreaming will start in gate number 4 and enters the race as the favorite with 4-to-5 odds to win. The 3-year-old will look to break through and take the second leg of the Triple Crown.
Classic Empire is looking to bounce back from a 4th place finish at the Kentucky Derby. He will line up next to Always Dreaming in gate number 5. Classic Empire heads toward the weekend with 3-to-one odds.
