Total Turnaround: A look at current river conditions

From drought to potential flooding, that is the case for many U.S. rivers at the moment.

After barge backlogs that took a toll on ag shipping due to low water levels, the river system is back to good conditions as of February. That is according to Russell Marine Group.
Within the next month, below-normal precipitation levels are expected for the Midwest, which could cause concerns in the St. Louis area.

Otherwise, above-normal rainfall is predicted in the Ohio River Valley, which will keep both the Ohio and Mississippi River well-charged.

The Mississippi may even receive more precipitation than needed this spring.
