Two Senators ask Treasury Dept. to review JBS acquisitions in the U.S., again

Two Senators are calling on the U.S. Treasury to investigate JBS as it seeks to purchase the rest of Pilgrim’s Pride.

They claim that the Brazilian company has a habit of criminal practices, like paying $150 million dollars in bribes to a Brazilian bank.

The letter calls for a Treasury review of JBS acquisitions, and the national security implications.

Last year, the Justice Department ordered JBS to pay a $280 million dollar fine for bribery.
