U.S. Dairy Groups Fight Back After Canada’s Revised Tariff Rate Quota System

The U.S. dairy industry is fighting back after Canada released details of its revised tariff rate quota system and is the first dispute under the USMCA. American farmers say the proposal will not give them access they were promised, and they want the U.S. to insist Canada go back to the drawing board.

National Milk Producers Federation’s Alan Bjerga spoke with RFD-TV’s Janet Adkison about what the proposal does and does not do, what he wants to see moving forward, an explanation on the federal milk marketing order system and why it needs to be modernized.
