President Donald Trump’s thoughts on wheat spark a Twitter storm, but to share the full impact of wheat trade with Japan it takes more than 140 characters. Now the National Association Of Wheat Growers wants to defend the quality of wheat sent to the nation’s number one export market - Japan.
The NAWG CEO, Chandler Goule, says the President’s comments also counteract negotiations with our northern neighbors who have spent years downgrading high-quality American wheat. Goule says he’d like to see the President tweet a correction to help prevent any trade repercussions that may come from his comments.
