Ukrainian forces attack Russian port, sending waves through commodity markets

Fighting continues in the Black Sea region sending ripples through the global commodity markets.

It was Ukraine who took the offensive overnight, attacking a Russian port used for exporting oil, and it disrupted shipments of grain as well.

Russian state broadcasters say traffic to the region has been temporarily stopped. This comes just days after Russia attacked Ukrainian terminals, destroying 40,000 tons of grain.
