The pandemic’s ripple effects have taken a toll on ethanol demand. A University of Nebraska-Lincoln partnership is now working on a creative use for the fuel to benefit both producers and frontline workers.
RFD-TV’s Janet Adkison speaks with Terry Howell, the executive director of UNL’s Food Processing Center, on their recent partnership and the 120,000 of hand sanitizer they have made so far.
“We are going to keep the process going as long as there is need,” Howell said. “We want to make sure the state of Nebraska and the companies and businesses are able to get to work and be able to feel comfortable and safe doing it.”
