While COVID-19 resulted in a wheat tour cancellation this year, scouts were still able to hit the field for an update. The results showed yields in Kansas may be 44.5 bushels per acre, coming in lower than the USDA’s latest forecast of 47 bushels.
Dave Green, the CEO of the Wheat Quality Council, speaks with RFD-TV’s Janet Adkison on those scouts findings and what the wheat quality will look like for this year.
Green states that some major areas looked to have an above average crop for the year. He is a little concerned about the rain fall in some areas but states that cooler weather will definitely help.
