Commodity prices have been in a slump this year, and that is reflected in USDA’s most recent Ag Prices Report.
For the month of July, prices received was down nearly 3 percent overall. Most commodities reported month over month declines.
Vegetable and melon growers saw the largest drop, coming in 22 percent lower on the month.
Prices received for livestock were up however, largely becasue of higher egg and meat prices.
