USDA sending special farm survey this week

USDA is planning to send special surveys to roughly 80,000 select producers.

The agriculture department’s mailing out some special survey forms to selected producers. Those forms will ask farmers how much of what crops they tend to plant this spring.

The results will be in USDA’s upcoming Prospective Plantings Report – one of the most highly anticipated USDA reports of the year – expected to be released by the end of March.
