A Saudia Arabian farm is watering crops with salt water!
A start-up company called Red Sea Farms developed technology that also uses salt water to cool growing facilities in an energy-efficient manner.
Right now they are growing tomatoes using rootstock that can grow in salt water.
The professor who invented the technology is staying tight lipped about the specifics, but it could one day allow people to grow crops in areas where access to fresh water is limited.
