Visual Drought Atlas needs the public’s help in combating drought

Right now there is an effort underway to combat drought around the world. Researchers in the heartland need your help documenting conditions.

The National Drought Mitigation Center’s Curtis Riganti speaks with RFD-TV’s own John Jenkinson on their Visual Drought Atlas and why help from the public is so valuable. “We want to be able to monitor drought going on in different areas so that we can help identify areas that perhaps in need of aid. Secondly, our goal at the National Drought Mitigation Center, in addition to monitoring drought, is to help build resilience to drought through planning,” Riganti states.
