A group in Indiana is helping its neighbors in “God’s Garage.”

The garage, based in Kokomo, is run by volunteers from Crossroads Community Church and helps widows, single mothers and veterans unable to afford their own auto repairs.

The initiative is lead by 71-year-old retired mechanic Tom Smith, who used the bible as inspiration to start this initiative, according to WISHTV.

According to The Indy Channel, the volunteers have done 218 repairs as well as 1,000 air and fluid checks since 2018. They recently received a grant to continue their ministry.
