Voting is open for USDA’s Farm Service Agency county committee elections.
Ballots have been mailed to eligible farmers and ranchers on which they can elect members to three year terms. Their local input helps USDA determine which services should be provided. Producers must be involved somehow with an FSA program to be eligible.
According to FSA Administrator Richard Fordyce, “Now through December 7th farmers and ranchers in eligible administrative areas can cast their votes for who will serve on their local FSA committee... County committees are unique to FSA and serve as a direct link between agricultural communities across the country and USDA.”
