What ag commodities will be impacted by Port of Montreal strike

Longshore workers at the Port of Montreal are set to begin a partial strike after employers moved to suspend guaranteed minimum pay.

Host of RealAg Radio, Shaun Haney speaks with RFD-TV’s own Tammi Arender on what issues are driving the strike and what ag commodities could be impacted.

According to Haney, “This has been a long process. The longshoreman and the company have been in negotiation for 30 months... So very, very concerning for agriculture along with a lot of other manufacturing industries in Canada... one of Canada’s major railways won’t even deliver containers to the Port of Montreal anymore until this problem is solved.”
