Wind technology is beneficial to some farms, a study says

Biologicals are just one of the many tools producers can use on their operations. While they can help in a few different areas, agronomists say there are certain steps that need to be taken.

The Associated Press found small local governments in places like Illinois, Iowa, and Nebraska are bringing in millions of dollars a year through tax dollars from wind farms. It is money that one Illinois Fire Department said allowed them to purchase new trucks, equipment, and on-call firefighters. However, there has been pushback on wind farms, with some arguing they take up valuable land for agriculture.

Similar feelings have surrounded solar panels on ag land, but more studies are being done for integrating the two.
