Wrangler NFR 2019: Hailey Kinsel wins barrel racing world title

For the second consecutive year, Hailey Kinsel sits atop the barrel racing world.

Powered by her seventh and eighth round wins at this year’s National Finals, the Texas cowgirl amassed more than $290,000 this year in order to achieve the top spot.

“It’s been unreal. I knew it was going to be tough and kind of dogfight the whole finals, there were so many people with a great shot and it’s honor to be one of them and to be able to come out on top, it’s definitely different than the first one,” Kinsel said. “Coming back, you know exactly what it (winning a world title) feels like and you want to repeat that and feel that again.”

Kinsel rode her horse Sister to both world titles.

“She’s incredible. I can see how incredible she is, and I hope others can, too,” Kinsel said. “She’s just done things that I don’t know how many other horses can do.”

With $264,673, Ivy Conrado-Saebens finished second in the world standings. She also won the NFR average.
