You could have popped sorghum at a baseball park next season

The Atlanta Braves are the new World Series Champs and stadiums are now closed for the season. But this morning we are throwing a curve ball to the age old baseball question: peanuts or cracker jacks?

We are adding popped sorghum to the snack list!

Texas A&M recently released a new hybrid sorghum variety developed specifically for popping. One grad student, who is working on the research, says that popped sorghum is a good snack food choice with untapped market potential.

Compared to popcorn, it has a smaller popped kernel size, making it a better for for granola bars or candies.
