U.S. and Canada had big beef market numbers in January

There were big numbers in the beef market for this past month, for pricing, carcass weights, and harvest rates.

Shaun Haney, the host of RealAg Radio, speaks with RFD-TV’s own Tammi Arender on January’s numbers, the current demand for beef, and weather impacts on the industry.

“Both the U.S. and Canada saw solid months for beef production this path month. Unit-date numbers for slaughter rates in the U.S., they are up 9 percent and in Canada for January, year to date, it’s up 15 percent on all cattle,” Haney states.
