Turkey prices rising on supply issues and pricing unavailable for smaller hens

Your Thanksgiving dinner is going to be a bit pricier this year and you are bound to have a bigger bird.

Packaged hens are about 10 percent more expensive this month compared to September, and the Livestock Marketing Information Center says that USDA’s weekly market summary only had pricing for larger birds.

Production has been forecast to drop but prices are rising based more on supply issues.
