100-year-old World War II veteran takes flight in 1940 Boeing Stearman biplane

In the rural town of Mt. Pleasant, Tennessee, a World War II veteran experienced something truly magical!

Cecil Whiteside, who just turned 100 years old, was able to strap in and take flight in a 1940 Boeing Stearman biplane, which were used to train many military pilots in the 1930s and 1940s.

It was all made possible by a non-profit organization that dedicates to honoring seniors and military veterans.
